Vegetarian Diet is not the Ultimate Answer
Posted at by ifydcat on category weight lossNo matter what the world might think, vegetarians are not completely protected against cardiovascular diseases and high cholesterol, and they can develop other severe conditions. Vegetarians are considered in some way protected against obesity and high cholesterol because they do not consume fats almost at all.
Also, these types of alimentation can diminish the risk of certain types of cancer, like colon cancer and breast cancer. This doesnt mean this is a healthy way to live. Its a known fact that living healthy means living with moderation, not with prohibitions.
Since so many people today experience weight problems, they all want to encounter the best fat loss secrets, and because the vegetarian diet seems so healthy and convincing, they are inclined to go for it. In general, vegetarians pay more attention to their alimentation, dont smoke and practice sports. This means they are living a more healthy life. If you want a vegetarian diet to be balanced, you will have to exclude only a few aliments and not aliments from a certain food group, as most vegetarians do. But since the vegetarians tend to almost always avoid animal-based products, they are doomed to have an unbalanced diet no matter what they try.
According to specialty studies that verified the nutrition state of vegetarians, the alimentary aport of vitamins like D and B12 and minerals like iron, calcium and zinc is lower than the recommended values and has irreversible repercussions on health.
In truth, vegetarian are not people who stand a good change in fat loss, they are just depriving themselves of essential nutrients, without actually starving themselves. But even if they feel full, their body cells will not get enough elements to stay healthy. Cell membranes will start degrading slowly and bones will become more and more lighter. The lack of calcium can cause the installation of osteoporosis, which is a serious and irreversible condition that can lead to bone fractures and immobility.
Good diets will never be following an example from exclusive diets like the vegetarian one. The right diets are the ones based on moderations and quality, not those based on exclusion or starvation. Even if a vegetarian is thinner than the average person and usually is busier, seeming to have an active life, it doesnt mean that he is as healthy as a person who eats moderately everything.
