Of course, if you live quite far from, your office, it’s not such a great idea to walk all the way there every day (but feel free to try if you think you can do it!) Of course, you are going to have to walk back at the end of your work day, too, so that doubles your work out – which is terrific! If you get on the bus to your office, just begin using a stop that’s a little farther from either end. It’s not at all difficult to incorporate walking in your daily life.

Walking is one of the simplest and best things you can do to be healthy. The reason walking is so wonderful for your heart and at helping you get rid of extra pounds is that it is the perfect aerobic exercise. Walking is normally done at a slow pace, so you won’t be straining your joints too much, unlike running. I have a lean brother who seems to be able to consume anything he wants and remain lean. There is no good reason not to exercise, when walking is very simple.

The moment you establish walking as a part of your everyday routine, it will become more effortless to stay with it, and as a bonus you’ll begin to notice you’re losing some pounds, too. By walking you’ll also feel better and you won’t be bored by it since it’s not exhausting at all, which will make you feel more inspired. As you walk more and observe changes, you’ll want to do more or step up the intensity level of your walks. This is fantastic; anytime is a good time for you to do it. Once you get to the point where you’re walking at a reasonably good pace and feel ready, step it up by jogging. After that, only the sky’s your limit.

Now the cat’s out of the bag – there is just no excuse to not get out there and begin walking. You can always find time to walk around your workplace, or the block. If that’s not possible, get a gym membership and get on a treadmill. There are lots and lots of ways to skin this exercise cat.
