A good fitness regimen is vital to stay healthy.  Doing this will make it easier to stick with your fitness regimen.   There are several things to consider when formulating an exercise plan.

What is your goal?  Know what you are trying to accomplish before you start and decide , if you want to really do this or are you going to just start a six pack ab exercises that will soon be forgotten by asking yourself whether you are you starting an exercise plan to lose weight,

or do you want to start it to maintain your weight, or are you concerned about your health, or is there some other driving force behind your desire to start exercising.  If you think about the end result that you desire, it can become attainable.

Understand what shape you are currently in.  Are you an exercise novice who has not tried this before?  Is there any particular exercise you have in mind, such as walking, aerobics or swimming?  Do you have access to a gym or any type of fitness gear?  Anyone who is planning to start exercising needs to consult with a physician to make sure they will not hurt themselves.

Ignore any obstacles that might be in your way.  Know what you are going to do in advance.  Mark the day you are going to begin on a calendar.  Determine what your exercise plan will be.  Understand what days of the week and how long you will work out for.  Plan your time.  Are you a person who would rather workout when you first get up, or would it be better to wait till later in the day for you to workout.

Clear out a part of your day that is dedicated to exercising that does not conflict with things such as work or school.  By having a specific part of your day that is devoted to exercising, it will be easier to accomplish what you want.  Do not just say that you are going to exercise, write down what you are going to do and how you are going to do it to make it more real.  Sign a contract with your self to get healthier.

When it is time to start your exercise plan remember a few things.

Take it easy at first.  You’ll want to start out gradually with whatever you choose to do.  Avoid exercise programs that do not put a smile on your face at the end of the day.  Switch up what you do on any given day.  Try to make it a combination of aerobic and cardio exercises to best help your body.  It’s easier to stick with it if you do spice it up.

Get an exercise partner.  Exercising is always more fun with a friend or family member, and helps keep you motivated, and if you can’t find the support of a person who is physically around you, turn to the internet and check out message boards such as the six pack ab exercises to find the support that you will need to stick with a plan when it no longer seems worth it.

Exercise while you watch TV.  That can make it more fun.  Use household chores as another way to get some exercise.  Do stretches.  Check out fitness video games that are available.  You can get fit without being bored.

Keep a fitness diary.  Keep track of your fitness progress including how much you exercise and how much you eat and do not try to how to lose weight fast as this is not the healthy way to lose weight and get fit and trim and to stay that way as this lets you know if you’re getting enough exercise and eating a balanced diet or if you need to work on it more.  Seeing what you have accomplished makes you want to accomplish even more.

It is important to keep trying.  Working out is part of a healthy lifestyle.  Just like gaining the weight, getting fit and trim is a gradual process.  This is the good one you can give yourself.  Plan and pace yourself so you aren’t overwhelmed.  A person will be happier when hey are feeling and looking better.  It is the start to a longer and happier life when you workout.
