Cool! When you hear about one of these easy fad diets it’s only natural to want to do it. It’s very enticing to try the new fad especially if the celebs are having great triumphs with it.

First let’s ask why don’t they actually work?
Unlike fad diets, proven weight loss methods usually give exact instructions on what you have to do in order to lose weight. The one universal commonality among these fad diets is that they all have a ‘gimmick’.
Let’s take the new fad, the ‘banana diet’. Its gimmick was to tell people to just eat bananas for breakfast. For many people having just fruit for breakfast is just not ample enough. The number of people who would not get get completely tired of bananas after having them every day for a week or two would be very few indeed!
The gimmicks these fads have drastically restricts the calorie intake which is why they don’t work. Using these fads can majorly slow the metabolism and that means muscle loss rather than fat loss.
Instead of giving actual advice these diets are more interested in the gimmick to grab attention. People have to know that weight loss and/or body transformation is not an easy thing to do, but neither does it need to be complicated. The fad diets make it look easy, however they don’t have the long-term results.
If we know they don’t work so why do they exist?
They exist because the aim is to sell a product. Fad diets are really fairly easy to create and people can generate a lot of money from them.
Rather than getting a good diet, we readily believe in the latest fad diet as we want an easy way to weight loss. We lie to ourselves and think that if we follow an easy formula we will lose the weight. It’s just a way of evading doing something difficult. Rather than being taken in by the gimmicky fad diets, it is so much better to face the fact that losing weight is hard. Have a look at on weight loss – the results will be so much more sustainable.
